Herbert - Got To Be Movin’ (Mr. Ho and Florian Blauensteiner simple edit)

Florian and myself are massive Matthew Herbert fans, so when we first got the news that he was re-releasing a ton of his house tracks on a compilation called “Herbert Complete”, we got inspired to come up with an edit of one of our favourite dancefloor tracks from Herbert. By no means did we try to outdo this fantastic original, just added a little touches here and there to make it more compatible in our dj sets.

Grab it here or here. Grab it quick because we going to have it online for a limited time only.

Hope you like it!

The Inflated…

Big things coming from Mr. Ho next week on Klasse. The Soundcloud previews have been up for a while now, but this is the first official announcement of our 24th (say whaaa?!) release (and yes, that is the one and only Big Pun up there, and yes he does appear to have a Klasse tattoo).

Opening the release is title track ‘The Inflated’, a rolling monster of synthesizers, frantic percussion and low-end Juno-style bass stabs. Hypnotizing melodies swim over Ho’s trademark drum work, creating an urgent but restrained introduction that leads you up to the breakdown. Juxtaposing the original synth line, Mr Ho brings in a mean bass hook that adds movement and depth, stretching the notes out until the elements meet together in a final crescendo.

Following, ‘No Explanation’ is a deep excursion into 90’s House. Strings and stabs create a moody and melancholic atmosphere whilst Chicago style bass lines and 808 claps provide the energy and pace.

NRK boss Nick Harris steps in to rework ‘No Explanation’, turning up the dial and bringing back the clock with a retro infused house heavy hitter. Raw drums run alongside a stabbing shuffling bass line, strings and FX building suspense before a final synth-line creeps in and rounds everything off perfectly to a pure dance floor killer.
