Hello there! I’m back from my holidays in Mexico with a heart full of sun and lots of new ideas. As I was digging in my crates just now for inspiration and samples, I came across this record which I bought in 1997. It is very dear to me because it a) motivated me to become a better DJ and b) represents my personal “essence” of dance music / techno: raw playfulness, tough beats, funk, sex, positive energy, fun!

This track blew my mind back then and still does, I haven’t heard anything like it since. Respect to DJ Dave Clarke who dropped it every time at his residency @ Fuse Brussels from ’97 onwards and who I admire for his attitude and amazing (!) skills on the decks. Hats off.

Hello again! I’m listening to this lady’s music now: K. Hand, “Untitled B1″ on her “Project 5 EP” from 1997, Acacia Records. Kelli Hand has been releasing some pretty amazing house and techno music on that label in the last 21 years – if you don’t know it, check it out!
